Current Student Profile
The majority of students currently enrolled at Victory Academy are emerging speakers, listeners, readers, and writers. Students at this level are working on goals which include increasing their language across the functions of requests, building their vocabularies, increasing their vocal responding and vocal interaction with others, improving conversational skills, following more complex directions, improving concrete and cooperative play skills, building reading skills, and making progress in forming letters and writing functionally. These students need more frequent praise and teacher attention to ensure the student remains motivated and attends to his/her lesson.
A few of the students currently enrolled at Victory Academy are speakers, listeners, readers, writers, emerging self-editors, and early perspective takers. The students at this level are working on goals which may include continuing to build upon their vocabularies, continuing to make progress on their reading and writing skills, and increasing their more advanced conversational skills, dramatic and imaginary play, perspective taking, and social thinking concepts. These students are capable of more independent work; however, they still benefit from frequent positive interactions with teachers and consistent praise. In addition, these students also benefit from a structured classroom and access to breaks and preferred activities.
At Victory Academy, groups of 2-3 students work with one teacher or teaching assistant, while still maintaining their individual goals. The teachers and teaching assistants at Victory Academy utilize as many incidental moments as possible to work on language, communication, social, and motor goals throughout the course of the academic day.

Victorious Beginnings!
Victory Academy extends its gratitude and thanks to all of its donors, sponsors, and volunteers that made Victorious Beginnings, the school's first Fundraiser/Auction, a huge success. Due to many generous contributions, Victory Academy is able to offer occupational, music, and behavioral therapies for the 2010-2011 school year and purchase specialized curriculums to enhance the learning of Victory students. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Further Donations are always welcomed!

New Praise for our School:
"Our biggest heartache as Ezra's parents has been trying to find a place for him where he can both belong - be honored and appreciated for what a fantastic, unique, intelligent, and beautiful person he is - and also get the encouragement he needs to push beyond his comfort level, and to reach his potential. What a relief for us to know that Victory Academy is this place."-

Victory Academy believes that all children with unique learning differences can reach their fullest potential through an education based in both structure and playful engagement. Each child's particular strengths and challenges are constantly assessed to direct the child's teachers in selecting best practice teaching methodologies for the individual child.
We also maintain that all students learn with greater ease when their natural interests and affinities are honored throughout the school day.
